2019 Ford Mustang
Hit the throttle in the all-American 2019 Ford Mustang for blazing speed and a smooth, refined take on modern muscle. In this preview guide, we’ll tell you what’s new and what’s as good as it’s ever been on the iconic 2019 Mustang.
What’s New for the 2019 Ford Mustang?
This year, Ford is resurrecting its Mustang Bullitt special edition model. You’ll recognize this trim in just one glance, thanks to its exclusive forest green paint, special wheels, and Bullitt logos.
The Bullitt is the only Mustang to come standard with the new Performance package, which is designed to take performance to the extreme. This package includes a shorter differential ratio, larger brakes, and a bigger radiator for the ultimate Mustang experience. The Performance package is optional for other models.
This year, drivers can add the active valve exhaust to the Mustang EcoBoost’s four-cylinder engine. It’s a good way to turn up the volume on the Mustang’s exhaust note, letting everyone know you’re on your way.
Why Choose the 2019 Ford Mustang?
Compared to other pony cars, the Mustang gives you the total package. That includes blazing speed, rich interior comfort, and a surprisingly refined ride. Every model comes standard with a long list of performance features – such as the independent rear suspension or a smooth, responsive ride and an electronic line-lock to impress your friends with a little burnout action.
Inside, the Mustang never feels cramped. Upgrade to the EcoBoost Premium or the GT Premium and your Mustang will be downright luxurious, thanks to the leather upholstery and dual-zone climate controls. And, no matter which engine you prefer – the thriftier turbocharged four-cylinder or the classic V8 – you’ll enjoy supreme speed.
What’s Under the 2019 Ford Mustang Hood?
This year, America’s favorite muscle car offers two engine options. The 2019 Ford Mustang EcoBoost’s turbocharged four-cylinder has plenty of pep, delivering 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.
For all-out speed, though, you should upgrade to the classic Mustang GT. Under the GT’s hood, you’ll find a 5.0-liter V8 that’s good for 460 horses and 420 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, but you can trade it for the 10-speed automatic transmission if you prefer a more easygoing performance.
These muscle cars also come with a long list of performance features. Mustangs with the manual transmission come with launch control for a clean, quick start from a standing stop. At the track, the electronic line-lock feature facilitates burnouts.
What Comfort and Convenience Features Are Available?
Inside, the 2019 Ford Mustang has more style than ever. This muscle car comes standard with keyless entry and ignition, so you can hit the road with an impressive flourish. Every Mustang includes the Sync infotainment system, which comes with handy voice controls, making it easy to stay connected on the go.
When you upgrade to the Premium versions of the Mustang EcoBoost or GT, you’ll get the all-out luxury treatment. Inside, you’ll find leather upholstery for long-term comfort. These models come with dual-zone automatic climate control, so driver and front passenger can enjoy their own uniquely perfect temperatures. The upgraded Sync 3 infotainment system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Use this technology to browse smartphone apps directly from the Mustang’s central touchscreen.
