North Carolina Vehicle Inspection
A motor vehicle must pass an annual safety inspection before it can be registered in North Carolina or the registration can be renewed. The inspection must be completed within 90 days of renewing the vehicle’s registration.
During a safety inspection, one of our factory-trained technicians will examine your vehicle’s headlights, signals, brakes, steering, windows, and tires. Additionally, vehicles registered in some North Carolina counties, including Cumberland, must also pass an emissions inspection, which is conducted at the same time as the safety inspection.
After the inspections, we will let you know if your vehicle has passed or if further service is required.
