Used Lincoln Aviator

Traditionally, unibody crossovers come standard with front-wheel drive, while more rugged, truck-based SUVs tend to feature rear-wheel drive. But the second-generation used Lincoln Aviator combines the best of two worlds, giving you both a car-style, unibody chassis and sporty rear-wheel drive.

What does this mean for you? The Aviator’s unibody chassis makes this modern crossover SUV easy to handle in a tight spot. And its rear-wheel-drive setup gives you extra grip around sharp turns. For off-road cruises, all-wheel drive is also available.

The Aviator’s standard engine is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 rated for 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. It helps you balance power with fuel economy, via a 10-speed automatic transmission. Depending on equipment, these used Aviators earn up to 21 mpg combined.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. Lincoln’s new version of this midsize crossover SUV is dripping in luxury, with a standard lineup designed to impress. Every Aviator trim model gets a power liftgate, sporty roof rails, and LED head- and tail lamps.

Inside, the second-generation used Lincoln Aviator is equally stylish, with tri-zone climate control, a 10.1-inch touch-screen infotainment interface, and an optional heated steering wheel. Move up the trim levels for more to love, including a panoramic sunroof and power tip-and-slide second-row captain’s chairs.

The original Lincoln Aviator was a bit of a different beast. In place of a car-based, turbocharged crossover, the first-generation Aviator is a V8-powered, mid-size SUV.

Compared to its Ford counterpart, the early-2000s version of the Ford Explorer, the first-generation Aviator feels very luxurious. Inside, features like leather seating and handsome wood trim dress up your ride. In fact, compared to more recent model years, you’ll find a lot of the same luxury features, including ambient interior lighting and power-adjustable pedals. What you won’t find, however, are touch-screen infotainment systems and high-tech driver aids, like blind-spot monitoring.

These midsize SUVs feature a 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces 302 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, which contributes to its sturdy ride. Properly equipped, these used Lincoln Aviator SUVs can tow up to 7,300 pounds.
